Etin is a four-year-old orangutan who lives with his mother, Jenny, and family on the floodplain of the Kinabatangan river in Malaysia. The forests around them are threatened by logging and forest fires.Three quarters of the region's frontier forest has been cleared, so huge areas of prime orang utan habitat are in danger.
You can adopt Etin from just £2 a month. This will enable WWF to continue monitoring and protecting him in his natural home, and to study how orang utans are adapting to their decreasing and degraded habitat.
We want to give orang utans and other primates the chance to live and breed in relative safety away from the threats of poaching, habitat destruction and forest fires.
